Mr. Nicholas Knight is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and instructor at International Taekwondo Academy, where he began his Taekwondo journey at the age of six under the guidance of Master Jermaine James. As an instructor, Nicholas is passionate about using his experience to help students develop confidence, discipline, perseverance, and the mindset needed to become the best version of themselves.

Nicholas brings more than 11 years of training and high-level competitive experience to his role as an instructor. He believes Taekwondo is about much more than learning techniques or winning medals — it is about building character, learning to overcome challenges, and developing the confidence to pursue goals both on and off the mat.

As a member of the ITA Competition Team, Nicholas has represented International Taekwondo Academy at major national and international competitions, including the US Open, Pan American Championships, World Taekwondo President’s Cup, Costa Rica Open, Bosnia & Herzegovina Open, Kukkiwon Cup, USA Taekwondo National Championships, and ATU National Championships.

Nicholas is a 3-time ATU National Team Member (2024, 2025 & 2026) and an ATU National Champion. His competitive career has included numerous national and international medals and opportunities to compete against high-level athletes from around the world.

Nicholas is also a proud member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Taekwondo Team and is pursuing his goal of competing on the Olympic stage. He is an Olympic hopeful with aspirations of representing Trinidad and Tobago at the 2028, 2032, and 2036 Summer Olympic Games.

As an instructor, Nicholas strives to lead by example and create a positive training environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves, believe in their abilities, and enjoy their Taekwondo journey. His goal is to pass on the lessons he has learned through years of training and competition to the next generation of martial artists.

Outside of Taekwondo, Mr. Nicholas enjoys art, spending time with friends, and pursuing his passion for cooking. He is currently preparing for a future career as a chef, with the dream of building a career in the culinary arts.

From beginning Taekwondo at age six to becoming a nationally recognized champion, international competitor, Trinidad and Tobago National Team athlete, and Olympic hopeful, Nicholas is proud to give back to the sport that has played such an important role in his life.
