Ms. Mia Gomez is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and instructor at International Taekwondo Academy, where she has trained under Master Jermaine James. As an instructor, Mia is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging, and supportive environment where students can develop their Taekwondo skills while building confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance.

As a female instructor, Mia takes pride in being a positive role model and someone students can look up to. She brings energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement into every class while helping students challenge themselves and recognize their own potential.

Mia is also a dedicated member of the ITA Competition Team, where she competes in Olympic-style sparring at national and international events. Her competitive experience includes the USA Taekwondo National Championships and AAU Taekwondo National Championships. In 2023, Mia became a USA Taekwondo National Champion, earning a gold medal while representing International Taekwondo Academy.

Her experience as a competitive athlete gives Mia a unique perspective that she brings into her instruction. She understands the commitment and perseverance required to succeed and uses those experiences to help students overcome challenges and become stronger martial artists.

Mia believes Taekwondo is about more than learning techniques. It is about building character, developing confidence, learning how to overcome obstacles, and becoming the best version of yourself both on and off the mat.

Mia is proud to be part of the ITA instructor and competition teams and is dedicated to using her experience and passion for Taekwondo to inspire and help develop the next generation of martial artists.
